How to get here
1. Aachen is roughly equally distant from the airports in Brussels(BRU), Düsseldorf (DUS), and Cologne/Bonn (CGN). Frankfurt is a larger airport and a bit further away. Düsseldorf has the advantage of a convenient train connection from the airport to the Aachen Main Station. One can buy a ticket at the airport train station. (It may be convenient to buy a ticket at one of the machines.)
2. The Chair for Applied Analysis is located in the complex of buildings at Pontdriesch (next to REWE). It is about a 25 minute walk from the Main Station. Alternatively, taxis and buses stop right outside of the station. As a third option, one can take a local train to the station Aachen West. From there it is a 10 minute walk to the building.
3. The center of Aachen is in between the Main Station and the Mathematics building. One can pick up maps and other information at the tourist office by the Elisengalerie.
